Day 7 of #MarchMeetTheMaker - Learning Curve

I wasn't really sure what I wanted to talk about today, so I thought I'd talk about life in general. I fully believe every experience in life is a teaching moment, it can be positive or negative, but there's always something to be learnt.

One of the biggest lessons I am still trying to learn is that not everything is my fault. I am a serious people pleaser and have a hard time with over-apologising (sorry..) One thing I am learning to accept is that not everyone is going to like what I do or what I make for them on the first try, or that a decision is made that has nothing to actually do with me.

Another continuing lesson is my art style - it is very much a learning curve to develop my own, unique style and to know how to show that on social media. I am fairly flexible when doing work for clients, and can change my style to fit theirs, but to have a style that defines me is definitely something I am working on!

Some lessons can be blessings in disguise, as cliché as it is, or they can develop to being a blessing. Looking at my current situation, yes it has been very shitty and a very tough year, but it has also given me opportunities I may have missed out on otherwise and has given me the chance to work on myself and what I am putting out as an artist.

Day 8 of #MarchMeetTheMaker - Small details

Today I am focusing on packaging, the small details that make receiving an order an experience! I always add a personalised "thank you" to etsy orders, as well as my logo sticker. I like to include a little message on the envelope and will often wrap the orders in some colourful tissue paper.

I am always grateful for every order and want to show the customer how special they are, and how much the fact that they've bought something means to me! So why shouldn't the order look nice?
